Can you handle the red?
So as you can probably see my poster is about racism of the red hair kind. I am really scared to present in class tomorrow because I think that I am going to get a bit of controversy on the subject matter, but I had fun making this poster and I think that is what matters most.
To top my poster’s statement off, here are some more fun red head facts:
An Irish judge in 2001 fined a man for disorderly conduct stating “I am a firm believer that hair coloring has an effect on temper and your coloring suggests you have a temper.”
Adolph Hitler reportedly banned the marriages of two redheads as he feared their children would be “deviant offspring”.
In Corsica, if you pass a redhead on the street you spit and turn around.
People with red hair often have different colored hair at different times of their life. It seems that it is more likely to be red in childhood or in early adult life, than in later life.
Redheads are harder to sedate than people of other hair color, requiring 20 percent more anesthesia.
Although less than 2 percent of the world’s population is naturally red-haired, the most popular color of at-home hair dye is red.
